Members awarded during Annual County Convention |

Tonight, two members of the Riverdale Heights Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad were awarded and recognized during the 99th Annual Prince George's County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association convention awards ceremony at the Greenbelt Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad, Inc., Co. 35. EMS Captain Karen Anderson was awarded the Rescue Squadsman of the Year, the William E. Brown Trophy for her dedicated service during the COVID pandemic, both administratively and operationally. Firefighter/EMT Todd Reedy was awarded the Fire, Rescue & EMS Individual of the Year, the Rodney Lee Gilbert Memorial Trophy for his dedicated service during the COVID pandemic. While not awarded, but recognized, Firefighter/EMT Christopher Perry was nominated for the Volunteer EMS Captain George Linnell Memorial Award also for his dedicated service during the COVID pandemic. This year's convention tribute was dedicated to all of the men and women of the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association and the Ladies Auxiliary; front line members, administrative and auxiliary for their volunteerism and dedication during this past year's events.
