Engine Company to William Wirt Middle School for Fire Prevention

By Vol. Fire/EMS Recruiter Brian Clements
December 22, 2017

On Friday morning December 22, 2017, Engine 131 and its crew headed to William Wirt Middle School at the request of Mrs. Whittaker, a Spanish teacher at the school for us to talk to her students about fire prevention and public safety.

Upon arrival the crew was greeted by her class and received small gifts as a thank you for our service to the school and our community.

After a small orientation and Q&A session, the crew led tours of the wagon outside and gave demonstrations of how to pull and flow attack lines and even flowed the wagon pipe.

We would like to thank Mrs. Whittaker, staff and students from WWMS for asking our crew to attend today.

For more information or to schedule a fire prevention demonstration at your next event, please contact the station at (301) 883-7713.
