Recognition of Department Member
By Vice President Brian Clements
Vice President Clements and Captain Reedy today awarded Past Secretary & Board of Director Brenda Sarmiento for her assistance over the past year.
She, her husband and four dogs will be leaving us next week for their new journey to the sunshine state of Florida.
Brenda was our backbone of the administrative staff here at the station. From notarizing and fingerprinting new prospects, to LOSAP and training our members the use of our LOSAP computer software, Brenda was only a phone call, text or email away.
Today also ends her 10 year career as Executive Assistant to the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association. She served the Prince George’s County Government and the Volunteers of the Prince George’s County Fire & EMS Department for a combined forty years of service.
Prince George’s County Fire & EMS Department Chief Benjamin Barksdale awarded Brenda her Certificate of Retirement with Vice President Clements, Captain Reedy and Volunteer Services Commander McClelland present.
Brenda aka #Mom, from all of us here at 13, thank you!
